Everything that is carried out during a school day is done in an artistic way, through singing, poems, rhymes, etc. Every day of the week we carry out a different artistic activity (watercolour, drawing with crayons, modelling, bread…) to promote the development of sensitivity and the senses; the teacher accompanies them with her attentive eye without intervening in their creative process.

If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.

A day in kindergarten

8:30 h.

The teachers, in the classroom, are waiting for each child to greet him or her with a warm welcome. The space is set up so that the child finds an environment that recreates their home, that is organised around their needs. A place where they find beauty and tranquillity, with teachers prepared to accompany them in the unfolding of their innate abilities.

9:00 h.

Free play is the cornerstone of the Waldorf curriculum in infants. At this stage they have a natural need for movement and, thanks to free play, they can get to know their bodies, acquire balance, develop their senses and establish their first relationships with their peers. In a large space, toys made with natural materials give wings to their imagination and creativity; in an experiential and sensory way they will integrate the curricular areas of this period.

10:30 h.

Tidy up time is an imitative activity that we transmit to the children with joy and also with the care and affection with which we treat the materials, which have a space assigned for them to find it every day in its place. After picking up, we clean up and get ready for the round.

11:00 h.

The round is the rhythmic part of the day; we sit near the seasonal table, a corner prepared with great care and beauty where through rhymes, poems, songs and fingerplays we take each child to the time or season in which we are.

11:15 h.

At snack time, as well as feeding ourselves, we transmit values such as gratitude; which is practised with the simple gesture of giving and receiving, sharing out napkins, cutlery, glasses, bowls, etc. We recite a short verse thanking nature for the food we have. We offer a balanced diet with organic and local products.

11:40 h.

The children will once again engage in free play, this time outdoors, with games for climbing, swinging, sand moulding and endless possibilities for them to explore and get to know their environment independently.

13:00 h.

After the expansive play in the garden, we return to the classroom with a story to relax and calm down, working on their sense of listening, enriching their language and inviting them to a world of fantasy and imagination.

13:30-15:00 h.

We start lunch time in the same classroom, accompanied by the teachers. Lunch time, as with the mid-morning snack, takes place in a quiet environment, allowing the children to enjoy the moment with awareness. After lunch it is time for rest or free play according to the needs of each child.
